Services	Services provided by or arranged through the Department include, but are not limited to: Child Welfare services Child Neglect and abuse investigations Case management services Alternate care for children unable to live in their own homes such as foster care, group homes, and child care institutions Juvenile Court services Child day care services and certification Supportive Home Care and Community Options Program Services to help people remain in the community Licensing of foster homes Protective and Representative Payee Services Guardianship Services Family Planning Information and referral planning Financial Assistance includes: Food Stamps, Medical Assistance, Wisconsin Works (W-2), Badger Care, Emergency Assistance, Low Income Home Energy Assistance This insitution is an equal opportunity provider.
Duties	The Door County Department of Social Services is responsible for administering a variety of Social Service and Financial Assistance Programs. All of the programs are authorized through State Statute and are administered on contractual basis with the State of Wisconsin.
