Temporary Restraining Orders/Injunctions

Temporary Restraining Orders (TROs) take approximately 30 minutes to process.  Please plan on arriving no later than 3:30pm to ensure same day issuance.

Where to File

The county in which the petitioner lives, the county in which the respondent lives, or the county where the cause of action arose.

Paperwork Assistance

HELP of Door County is able to assist in filing the paperwork for ALL types of Injunctions.  Their office is located at 219 Green Bay Road, Sturgeon Bay and may be reached at 920-743-8818.  Review Restraining Order Instructions.  Also, the Wisconsin Court System website offers self-help assistance on filing a restraining order.

Harassment Injunction

There MAY be a filing fee of $164.50.  The Court will determine whether fees will be waived.
